HewardMills is a multidisciplinary team of data professionals led by Dyann Heward-Mills, a third-generation lawyer and barrister who founded the company after 17 years in practice.
Dyann chose to honour her family’s long-standing legal tradition by naming the firm after her grandfather Albert Gillies Heward-Mills who came over to the UK from Ghana and studied at Cambridge. He established his criminal law practice in the 1950s and since then, more than 20 family members have followed in his footsteps including his daughter-in-law and Dyann’s mother Iris, a highly-respected judge, now retired from the Court of Appeal in Ghana.
HewardMills has a wide range of skills and expertise within its team, further supported by a network of trusted strategic partners. Known for our integrity and long-lasting embedded relationships, our focus is on doing the right thing, protecting clients and delivering data trust.
Our working culture is collaborative and authentic. We ensure our team receives training and development to keep them up-to-date with the latest research in data protection, creating rewarding careers and enabling us to maintain a diverse, inclusive and committed team.
