Helga is a US attorney licensed in Florida and Washington, DC, now living in Bonn, Germany. She has in-depth knowledge of US and EU data privacy laws, gained through private practice and serving in the American court system. 

​Helga’s main focus is to conduct audits and provide follow-up corporate compliance advice. She helps clients draft and review privacy policies, review data flows, RoPAs, DPIAs, LIAs and advises on other data privacy and security related questions. She has also successfully advised clients across different jurisdictions on data protection compliance, transparency, and accountability.

She is a highly-respected author, who has written extensively on data protection laws, international tax compliance and rule of law. She is also passionate about the protection of cultural property.

Helga holds a JD from UC Hastings, a PhD from Florida International University, a BA/MA from Middlebury Institute of International Studies and is multi-lingual, speaking French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Albanian and German.
